How long does setup take?
Most organizations import their item list from a spreadsheet and print labels the same day. Forge matches your columns for you, and we will do the first import with you on a call.
Can each campus see only its own stock?
Yes, and it is enforced in the database rather than hidden in the interface. Campus roles see their own campus. Purchasing, finance and administrators see everything. An instructor cannot approve a request, even at their own campus.
Does this help with our federal property records?
That is what it is built for. Forge keeps the record elements 2 CFR 200.313(d)(1) lists, tracks the physical inventory the same rule requires at least once every two years, and exports the register as a spreadsheet in the order the regulation lists the elements. It tells you which assets are missing which elements, so you find out before a monitoring visit does.
Do we need scanners or an app?
Neither. Labels print on plain paper or standard 3-across sheets, and any modern phone camera reads them. There is nothing to install.
Where does our data live, and is it separate from other organizations?
In a managed Postgres database in the United States. Every record carries your organization's id, and the database refuses reads and writes across organizations — it is a rule in the data layer, not a filter in the application. We can walk your IT team through it.
Can we buy through a cooperative purchasing contract?
Not yet — Forge is not on a Sourcewell or E&I contract today, and we would rather tell you that than imply otherwise. At these amounts most organizations purchase directly. We are happy to work through your procurement process and provide whatever documentation it needs.
